About the Gardens

Since 2004, Ama Phyllis has transformed the grounds of the Three Thistles into a beautiful healing garden. She has established a thriving organic garden where she grows vegetables, high bush blueberries and herbs.

In 2008, the local landscapers Helping Nature Heal established a small pond that is now alive with frogs, gold fish and lilies.

A Maori-inspired stone sculpture, by local artist Heather Lawson, forms the centerpiece of a meditation circle.

A fire pit and comfortable outdoor chairs are available for guests to enjoy.
